So, I loved Venice. And I can see how other people love it AND fall in love there.
But, it's not the place to visit with babies. Two days previously, it had poured with rain and we got soaked through. The day trip to Venice on the train with the Crooks was sunny and clear, but boy were we worried about the weather turning. So, we had to take all our rain gear with us. And this included coats, umbrellas and waterproof trousers for the babies.
We also couldn't afford lunch there, so we packed a lunch and for 8 people this took up a couple of day back packs worth of space.
We loaded the buggy and this was the problem. As we alighted from the train that took us to the edge of Venice, we had a score of bridges to negotiate to reach anywhere within the city.
All the boat drivers were on strike, so we had to walk everywhere we wanted to go.
Beautiful, but hard going.
2 very beautiful girls.
Another bottle of Prosecco ladies?
I'll go back, just not with the children.
Love this post! Gorgeous pics! You all look wonderful. xx
