The Black Forest

The Black Forest.  11^th – 14^th October

We moved on after awakening in the campsite driveway. It was too expensive and we needed budget. The girls dozed in the back as we drove around the Forest, dismissing half a dozen sites for a myriad of reasons. Too expensive, too dirty, not a nice enough site. Our fussiness eventually paid off. We found a gem of a site nestled in a valley. It was just within budget, very friendly, family run, free decent WIFI and fantastically clean & modern facilities.

After erecting the awning (which we tend to do first off if we know we are going to stay for more than 2 days), we head into town and have a wander.

Indulging in Black Forest Gateux was our first stop. It was very boozy and as a result, Emily and Holland opted for a chocolate cake instead. Eden and Alana however love it
